Gameplay

Code Violet Combat System

Code Violet blends third-person action horror with scarce resources and survival pressure. The official features highlight a mix of melee and ranged combat, stealth, and limited inventory management.

Combat Foundations

  • Third-person action horror combat against prehistoric dinosaurs and hostile forces.
  • Melee and ranged tactics are both part of the combat loop.
  • Inventory scarcity influences when to fight, sneak, or avoid encounters.

Movement and Evasion

  • L1 while moving sideways triggers a dodge.
  • While prone, L1 triggers a roll for repositioning.
  • Crouch and prone stances reduce detection in stealth sections.

Firearms and Upgrades

  • All firearms have upgradable stats.
  • Pistol, SMG, and AR weapons can equip suppressors found in the world.
  • Suppressors reduce noise and lower the chance of alerting nearby dinosaurs.

Armories and Customization

Armories are marked by green doors and let you:

  • Upgrade weapon stats using Mites earned in-game only (no microtransactions).
  • Change weapon skins.

Status Effects in Combat

The survival guide calls out two major status effects that affect fights:

  • Poison: Must be cured with Antidote, or it becomes fatal after 10 minutes.
  • Blood Loss: Drains current and maximum health if untreated.
